Hey there, fellow tea drinkers! I hope things are going well for you this week! Instead of the more typical The Taste of Tea entry, today’s post is something a little special: a tea-infused parody of the song “Pictures of You” by The Last Goodnight. I’ve been piecing this one together bit by bit for the last week or so, and today I think I’m happy enough with it to share it with you all. If you’re not familiar with the original song, well, that’s okay; I think you could still enjoy my version. Even if you are familiar with the original song, like me, you may just recognize it from the part of the chorus that goes “Pictures of you. Pictures of me…” In either case, to get the full effect, you may want to look up and listen to original before reading my version.

Pitchers of Brew – Blake’s Tea Journal

This is the newest tea haul
This is the tea for us all
This is the first sound of a new tea enthusiast before he drinks it all

This is the beverage that’s never done
This is the tea-head having fun
This is the mother waiting by the kettle brewing tea for her son

Pitchers of brew
Pitchers of tea
All upon your table for the world to drink

Pitchers of brew
Pitchers of tea
Remind us all that we could have tea

There is a tea that soothes it all
But not until the next tea haul
We are the tea sellers inside the shop just waiting for the call

These bitter astringent teas have got me shaking
Inside my mouth is puckered up and dry

Pitchers of brew
Pitchers of tea
All upon your table for the world to drink

Pitchers of brew
Pitchers of tea
Remind us all that we could have tea

‘Cause there’s still tea
Every secret blend
Every stolen leaf you’ve been tasting

Have some tea
All that tea between us
All that tea between you and me

We are the tea-farmers in the field
We are the buds that never yield
There is a tea that won’t last no matter how well it’s been sealed

Pitchers of brew
Pitchers of tea
All upon your table for the world to drink

Pitchers of brew
Pitchers of tea
Remind us all that we could have tea

Pitchers of brew
Pitchers of tea
All upon your table for the world to drink

Pitchers of brew
Pitchers of tea
Remind us all that we could have tea
That we could have tea

Pitchers of brew
Pitchers of tea
Remind us all that we could have tea
That we could have tea
We could have tea
